TDS on labour cess
A constructor is charging labour cess on the bill. Should TDS be deducted on such labour cess portion also?

labour cess is not income to the contractor. it is to be remitted to labor dept. if ny stand is correct, no need to deduct tax on it as the wording in 194c is tds must be on income of the contractor only.
