I wnat to know whether it is mandatory to deduct TDS in following situation:
The assessee is a proprietor firm carrying on business of Jewellery making. The raw material is supplied by the client of the assessee and assessee cariies out the job work on that material to make jewellery. The assessee pay the job work chatrges to workers by cheque which is above the threshhold limit of not TDS deduction.
In Such situation, is it mandatiory to have TAN and decut TDS on the payment to workers?
