Friends

Suppose I have given some money to my wife with which she opens a FD account in an bank and the bank deducts tax at source on the interest. Now the TDS goes in my wife's PAN as when the bank opened the FD account in my wife's name, it naturally took her PAN in their database.

But then , ideally, here clubbing provisions under section 64(1) does apply. I should include that income in my total income. But doing so I will not get the TDS benefit.

What stand to take in such situation.

Regards,
