I'm working in govt Corp. I had paid travel agency for hired Car Rs.4930/- & GST 5% Total Bill Rs.4930 + 246.5=5176.5/-.
So which amount is applicable for TDS deduction? means Gst included or except?
TDS not to be deducted on GST Amount if u r eligible to deduct tax at source under any section.
further in your case, if you are in purview of 44AB then u need to deduct tax at source in 194I at 2% if total rent to be paid exceeds INR 2,40,000 as per finance act 2019.
