We(Company) have been paying generator rent Rs.8250 p.m. and office rent Rs.37000 p.m.
My question is that are we required to deduct TDS on generator rent also at 2% as 8250*12=99000 (does not exceed 180,000)
Can we consider generator rent and office rent separately for 180,000 limit.

Yes both of these items are considered separately for TDS purpose.You are not required to deduct tds on rent payment for generator but tds provisions will apply to rent of office. i.e deduct 10% of 37000 and deposit 3700 p.m

Both are separate and mutually exclusive events.

That depends whether you are paying a single person more than rs. 180000 or not so if both person are same you should deduct TDs otherwise only on office rent.......................................
