tds on freight

Limit for tds on freight whether it is paid in cash or non cash.. Please confirm limit is 20000 or 30000 in case of tds deduction.

If amt paid us more than Rs.75000 in a year or Rs.30000 in one time then only TDS to be deducted..

aggregate limit is 1,00,000 per year in place of 75000

same limit as above...but if audit case then cash payment above 10000 disallowed.

Yes limit changed from 75000 to 100000..
Cash payment made upto Rs.10000/- only.....

As per My View.,
TDS not applicable if the transporter give Valid PAN.
Also cash payment will be pay Rs. 35k to transporter...

A partnership firm paid 24000, 29000, 25000, 22000 and 23500 to different parties for freight. Whether it is liable to deduct tds or not..

Not liable as payment is less than Rs.30000/- per person...
