Tds on custom duty
is tds required to be deducted on payment of custom duty as well as on reimbursement of custom duty

Similar to service tax, customs duty is too a statutory liability and not the income of the assessee and hence similar to ST, TDS may not be applicable to customs duty as well. However, I am not aware of any specific circular in confirmation of the same in case of customs duty.
what if , there is a reimbursement of custom duty. Would TDS be applicable on reimbursement of custom duty
