03 February 2010We have paid advertisement charges through agency. They have issued a bill Advertisement charges and commission charges. We are going to debit all charges to advertisement.
My query is TDS is tobe deducted u/s 194C - Advertisement 194H (On commission charges)

Dear Deepak,
The primary thing under this contract is to "advertise & not to pay commission", u may call it by whatever name - TDS u/s 194 C will be deducted.

You have to deduct TDS @ 1% on entire advertising bill. Refer Circular No. 715 dt 8 August,1995.
