Yes, it is per the amendemnt made under the finance act,2008 whereby deduction would be allowed in the previous year in which payment was made/credited and T.D.S. thereof is deposited before the due date of furnishing the ROI.
Further, from A/Y 2008-09, the due for filling ROI in case of comapnies etc. is 30.09.2008
