Dear all as you know, service receiver in case of Transportatin charge has the liability to pay service tax if not charges on bill on 25% after availing 75% abatement.
But in case of TDS deduction any body suggest, TDS has to be deducted from the bill amount charged by the provider or from the ( bill amount charged by service + service tax we pay)

Service tax is the substitude of excise duty in service area . My question is can u deduct tds on excise ???? the answer is no .Hence by laws if u go there should not be such deduction for tds on service tax . Because it will create cascading effect i.e. tax on tax . But in practical in order to avoid future disputes we are deducting TDS if charged in bill . If it is claimed by separate bill it cannot be deducted .
