Is there any TDS liability in sharing of expenditure(salary or any other expenses) by raising a debit note. & under which section

I dont think there should be any such TDS liability as TDS arises in speciefied cases coming u/s. 194, and not in all the expenses

tHANKS FOR REPLY. I SUPPOSE THERE IS SOME NEW NOTIFICATION OR SOMETHING ELSE AS EARLIER THERE WAS NO LIABILITY , WHAT IS THE PRESENT STATUS.

please elaborate your question. from your wordings it seems that two entities are sharing the expenses and you want to share the liability of TDS as well. this will depend on the fact in whose name the billing is done for the expense. in case dual billing is done then there will be TDS for both. But if billing is done entirely on one entity and the other ju pays its share then TDS will have to be deducted by the entity in whose name the bill is issued.
