NSDL raised default for late deposit of TDS. Now i am going to deposit the tax with interest. In this case we need to revise the return for the same quarter or after deposit the tax we forget it.

In case you pay only interest then no need of revision, just pay and intimate to NSDL. incase you paid short deduction of TDS then need to correct TDS return with the particular deductee

can any one pls help me out with calculation of interest on late payment of TDS?
the TDS for Q1 f.y.2016-17 was made on 1-Aug-2016.

interest applicable 1.5% per month from the date of deduction to date of deposit

You need to file the Online revision of TDS return for interest payment of any late payment and/or late filing of TDS returns.
the amount paid by you will remain shown as unclaimed challan until revision of TDS returns for payment of such defaults in the original return.
