i am an individual. I have paid brokerage of 50000 to individual person for selling my flat. Does I have to deduct TDS on it? I do not have TAN number.

NO...YOU ARE NOT REQUIRED TO DEDUCT TDS ON BROKERAGE PAID BY YOU ....REQUIRMENT FOR TDS DEDUCTION FALLS ON PERSONS COVERED UNDER TAX AUDIT PROVISIONS SECTION 44AB
