She can file her IT return by showing income from FD nterest and claim the TDS deducted for refund.
Disclose the income & tds in ITR and claim the refund

Not proficient so much with ITR filing, however what I understand  if her interest income is say RS 69630.00 in the return I have to put this one and claim the refund. Can anyone please show me in which column I have to put this one. Your help in this regard is highly appreciated. Many many thanks for the reply.

Thanks once again.

If not registered in income tax site. Go to incometaxefilling.gov.in and fill in the details n register your wife's PAN. After registration, go to login n fill in the credentials.
Then go to your profile, e-file>income tax return>fill details n choose "ITR-1" n submission mode as "prepare online and submit" and continue. Rest in the other sources income fill in the interest income details.

Many many thanks for the response.

Miss/ Mrs parmer your instruction :Then go to your profile, e-file>income tax return>fill details n choose "ITR-1" is really helpful for me.

Thanks.

Your welcome. M glad the information was helpful for u.!

I registered my spouse in Income tax in the efile section it shows some prefilled data like this :- Interest from deposit Rs 62893.00 and also show that bank has already deducted an amount of Rs 3484.00 as TDS and in the refund section it shows an refund amount of Rs 3480.00 . So far it is clear to me, now at the top of this prefilled form B1> Gross Salary it is now zero (0) as she is only a house wife, Do I put there the amount of interest she earned from FD ( Rs 62893.00 which already showed in the prefilled form as Interest income , or keep it as Zero.

In Nutshell though she is a house wife the interest she earned from the FD can be put in the salary column or keep it as zero as she do not have any salary income. Seeking your advice.

Thanks for your time.
