My wife who is a housewife has some STDR and she has no income. She inherits these money and the total amount of interest in one calendar year is nearly Rs 50.000 ( Approx)  only but in the financial year 2017-2018 I forgot to submit Form 15 G in the Bank and as a result bank just debit Rs 4797.00 as TDS. It is my fault. Now in this position I seek your kind advice can I recover this money by producing return online and claim this amount? Is this possible or any other means please give me some idea.

Many thanks for your valuable time.

Apply online for condonation of delay in filing return.
yes u can and it's refund case Sir do it fast

You should give an application for filing return under section  119(2)(b)  to your ward officer. You should explain in the application that the her income is less than taxable limit and you overlooked the TDS deducted and that you need to file return to claim refund.

So I have to apply offline and not able to do it online. Thanks for the responses and if anyone have to give me some more input in this matter please provide as I am eager to do it now.

Once again thanks.

Suggested draft  application is attached here. You can suitably modify/edit the same at your end.

Submit one copy to ward officer and another to  IT commissioner.  Take acknowledgement of both.

Thanks SHIRISH S S  for the help.

Thanks.

Please  find herewith Circular no 9

Many thanks Shirish S S  for the immense help from your end.

Thanks.
