URGENT!!!!!

A person deducts tax as per rules and pays it to the government..... but delays in giving the deducted party his Form 16.... by that time that party would have filed his returns without taking deduction of tax and asks for cash. Now what is that the person can do who has deducted the tax. is there any provision under IT

there is no need to attach certificate with return......but you have to mention the TAN no. of deductor with acknowledgement no. of deposit  of tds from deductor.

I have pressumed that the Deductor have deposited the amount in favour of Central govermnt

In case if he has deposited tds to central government,

you can easily get acknowldgement no. and you can revise your return if you have file your return before due date i.e31/7/08..........otherwise you can not do any thing......

See i am not asking from the deductees point of view..

tell me from the deductors point of view.

IT is not a matter of one or two persons to revise the returns. they are all big companies and do not  agree for such things.

This thing is bigger than you have explained.
