YOU LOGIN TO WWW.INCOMETAXINDIAEFILING.GOV.IN WITH YOUR PAN. AFTER THAT YOU SEE FORM 26AS WHICH SHOWS TDS DEDUCTION FROM YOU AT THE YEAR 2010-2011. ON THE BASIS OF THIS YOU TAKE CREDIT OF TDS ON YOUR INCOME TAX RETURN. AT PRESENT INCOME TAX RETURN ARE PAPER LESS RETURN SO FOR THAT YOU NEED NOT OF TDS CERTIFICATE.

Every company deducting TDS from their employees salary is required to give TDS certificate every year on or before May 31 in Form 16 to the employee.
In other cases(other than salary )form 16 A is required to be issued.
You can insist on giving the TDS Certificate.
As Mr. Vikas said you can check whether Tax deducted from your income is being deposited by logging in with your PAN on incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in. On that basis u can claim the TDS in your return.
Though 26 AS will give you the TDS details nevertheless you are entitled for Form 16/ 16A from your company(TDS Certificate).
