- If a person fails to deduct / deposit the TDS before 31st March, 2008, can he deposit the amount now ? whether this amount will be allowed or disallowed ? Please suggest.

You can pay now. Expenses will be allowed in which year TDS Paid. Pay TDS with Interest 1% p.m.

If the entry credited on 31st March 2008, last date for tds payment will be 31st May 2008, then expenses will be allowed for asst. year - 2008-09.
If tds on salary not paid in time you can deposit tds amount now & disallowance provisions will not be attracted.
In any other case the expenses will be allowed for the asst year 2009-10 only
