Dear Sir,
Applicability of TDS -
1) CST / VAT - These are sales tax on sale of GOODS & TDS is not applicable on Sale/Purchases.
2) Service Tax - It is a taxes on Sale of services - TDS is applicable in this case except (u/s 194I in case of Service Tax on Rent)
3) WCT - it is a tax where property in goods is transfered along with the provision of services - WCT infact is not a tax in itself....It will either originate from sate VAT or from Central Service Tax...........I think TDS will apply in this case

Dear Amir sir, in case of construction contracts does TDS should be deducted on sales tax also...

In case of construction contracts works contract tax or service tax will be levied and not sales tax.
Sales tax will be levied if material is purchased on which as it is TDS is not leviable.
