please guide me about TDS to be charged on Freight? monthly feight aggregate bills amount to around 2 lakhs from transporters.

Transporters owning less than 10 vehicles, hence tds need not be deducted only received from pan & declaration. If transporters owning more than 10 tds must be deducted. Rate same as status of pan and aggregate also exceed rs.75000

If transporter owning not more than 10 no of vehicle then no need to dedcut TDS, if transporter provide own PAN to Deductor.

Otherwise, Deductor is laible to deduct TDS if payment to a transporter go beyond Rs.75000 in a financial year or a payment to a transporter go beyond Rs.30000
