One of my client was not deposited TDS on interest for the year 2011-12. Can he will deposit with interest & file the return?

He can pay the tax and file the return. Provided the deductee has not filed his return of income. If he has filed the retrurn then he need to file the revised Return to claim the credit of TDS.

You can file the fresh return for the concerned year. kindly provide more info like which assessment year it belongs. So, that I can be more particular and clear.

However a return can be filled upto 2 years. For e.g. for F.Y. 2011-12 ideal time is 31st July,2012 but it can be filled upto 31st march 2013 and even upto 31st march 2014.

With tax - interest and penalty.

Kindly clearify what you mean by this highlited line.

if anyone not pay the interest amount then he pay a single challan of interest in which  section he require and file the return if file earlier then revised.

It doesn't matter how many times you revise. The section for revision remains same. Challan can be paid in section

Self Assessment Tax (300).

But in  DETAILS OF PAYMENTS column fill  Interest. If you havent receive notice.

Is it a case of ITR or TDS return ?
