Hi all

We have paid some money to a Foreign Company as consultation charges, The owner of the company is an Indian person. Please advise if the tds has to be deducted or not for this payment. Please also let me know if the type of payment is reimbursement of travel expenses.

Dear Jaswinder,

The same is not depent on whether he is indian or not. You have to read DTAA between india and foriegn country. Then consider the rate of TDS and then apply the higher rate of TDS on that company or firm or individual. For the same you have to file 15CA & 15CB too.
