Dear all,
We dedct the TDS on Rent payment, and while making to the payment through on line payment the section of TDS is wrongly quoted as 94 J insted of 94 I.
Now kindly inform how to rectify this error in the payment challan.

i think no changes can be made one payment is made.u just have to show it correctly while filing ur quaterly return....
As per my knowledge, earlier we had faced same problem while depositing I.tax
then NSDL directed us to contact our Assessing officer for necessary corrections.
