Taxablity of retirement benefits.

155 views 1 replies
I am a retired Central Government officialI received my superannuation retirement benefits i.e., DCRG, Commuted value of pension and encashment of leave on my retirement during the end of March, 2018. Do I need to show the same in the IT return and claim exemption or exclude the same as these are not to be part of income.May I get a clarification in this regard please. Hoping for an early clarification. Thanks in advance.

yes, you need to mention the entire retirement benefits under exempted income column while filing ITR
