A GTA providing service of transportation of goods by road also provides services of renting of truck to other GTA .
Whether this rent income is taxable under GST Act

Service Provider is registered under GST but Service receiver may be registered/ unregistered.

I think hiring out vehicle to GTA is exempt from GST

As per the entry number 22 of notificaton no 12/2017-of CGST Rules 2017,
Services by way of giving on hire –
(a)-----------------------------------
(b) to a goods transport agency, a means of transportation of goods.

If any GTA is hiring a truck. It is not liable to GsT. As in this case GTA has not received any services .it is exempt from GST but liable to tds as the case may be
