When we make investment in fixed depoists for a tenure of five years or more, we get income tax deduction u/s 80C but interest is subj to TDS .
my doubt is what is taxability of princiapal of FD maturity proceeds.Is it taxable or nt

Since tax has charged from interest, no tax on principal. Tax always to be charged on income and repaymt of principal is not your income.
