I have one of client whose mother is expired and she has TDS refund of 35,000 on interest income in F.y 16-17 and ITR of said year is not filled and now can I file ITR of F.y 16-17 & get refund ?? I know now it is time barred but there is big amt of refund so I need to get it in any way.
please advise appropriately

Condonation request u/s. 119(2)(b) of IT act  may be filed by legal representative for condonation of delay in filing return, to jurisdictional JCIT/ ITO, while refund due. If approved, return can be filed online.....

Refer: circular 9_2015.

Sir, you mean they may or may not approve it for filing ITR!
