what is d tax rate on interest income from bank for an individual assessee for the assessment year 2010-11?
whether special rate is or normal rate (slab rate ) is applicable for it ?

It is at normal slab rate.
Bank interest is added in Income from other sources and taxable according to slab. No special rate is there. Only TDS can be deducted by bank @ 10%
