What is the applicable rate of tax of short term capital gain with Securities Transaction tax for the Assessment year 2009-10.

The short term capital gains tax on sale of equity shares and units of equity oriented mutual funds where the transaction is subject to STT for the A.Y. 09-10 is 10.3% (including education cess)

The Special Tax Rate for STCG with STT is 15% for the AY 2009-10. (15.45% with EC& HEC)
