Whether gst is to be paid on the value of closing stock when a gst registration is cancelled ?
if yes , on what rate ??
would the ans be same if the assessee is a compostion taxable person
No..... when the composit dealer surrender his GSTN the GST not ,applicable on Stock.
As per Rule 20 of CGST , Other than Person Registered as TDs deductor or collector & person granted registration under Rule 17 (Embassy -Unique Identity Number) is required to Pay GST on Stock lying on the date of cancellation
