SEZ can be said as tax heaven. if any person working in a SEZ, EXPORTS the good from out side INDIA then he will get 100% exemption from EXICE DUTY. As per SPECIAL ECONOMIC ZONE ACT 2005, for ALL TAX purpose SEZ are treated as a place outside INDIA. Hence person working in SEZ are not within the purview of any tax in INDIA.
therefore, you can say SEZ, a TAX HEAVEN
Only SEZ can not be said as tax heaven, there are also other unit which are getting 100% exemption like -
1-100% EOU
2- units working u/s 10A
3- units working u/s 10AA
4- units working u/s 10B
5- units getting deduction u/s 80IA, 80IAB, 80IC, 80ID, 80IE
