Tax details in ITR

can we modify the pre filled details in "Tax details" tab in ITR 1 ?

Some Details can be modified. but all are linked with Prepaid taxed and tax Deducted/Collected, Better not to modify them.

Hi Ramakoti,
Yes, the system allows for modification of tax details. But if you modify the tax details i.e., TDS/Advance Tax details etc., you will be served a notice as to difference in tax amounts. It is better to not modify the details. Sometimes, it so happens that the pre-filled TDS details in the ITR may not reflect the exact amount. Then you can modify only if you possess valid documents to support your modification. Otherwise it is better not to change anything in the tax section.

sir my HRA is 2329. I pay rent of 5000 pm. I live in a non metro station. can I claim deduction for the difference amount in 80gg? if so , I should fill form 10ba?
