02 August 2017I have deposited client's self assessment tax from my bank account on 29th July 2017 for AY 2017-18. But as on 2nd Aug. 2017, it is still not showing in 26AS of the client. Usually it is shown in form 26AS after 3 working days. What could be the reason? I have filed the ITR today.

For Taxpayer click on CIN based view. Fill in the details such as BSR code , data of tendering Tax, amount and challan no .
You will get details of the payment as self assesment tax.
Take a screen shot and save the tax paid.
On 26As it will be visible after 3 to 7 days

The Journey from your bank to TRACES is not so simple.
It is aggravated by 29th bein saturday
First online payment goes to cetral pool of your bank
Usually the next day it is transfered to OLTAS-TIN of NSDL
The after two days it goes from NSDL-TIN to TRACES.
So have patience and paste the screen shot from OLTAS in your word document as suggested by NIKHIL.

At times, notices had been received from CPC, Bengaluru, for non-deposit of tax. It was mostly in those cases, where ITR was filed before the taxes had been reflected in the Form 26AS. The department should consider the complete documents/details at their end before issuing such un-necessary notices to the assessees.

M'am, my few clients received such notices on registered email in previous years. Hopefully for AY 2017-18 there will be no such notices.
