Can anybody tell me how much tax consultant charge in general to client?
Suppose I am running a hotel & I want to save tax so I will approch some tax consultant.
How much they will charge me?
Or what is the usual procedure in this case?
Will really appriciate your help.

Dear Parineeta,
It is difficult to comment ...It's a profession & not a commodity my dear & fees is generally based on two things -
1) Reputation of Service Provider
2) Nature of work.
U check up with the Consultant to whom u wish to appoint & ask him to give u an idea about the fee structure.

I know its not commodity.
Also I am not seeking of any consultancy right now, as a student I was just wondering how it is charged by professional reputed consultants.

Well reputed professional consultants charge as per the time involved (professional hours) for a particular job.

professional consultancy also has the same method of arriving at their product cost lyk any other service industry is pricing. The more reputed the firm goes, the more their cost will be and some amount of goodwill.. Basically they charge the cost of the firm for the time spent lyk, how many ppl in tht office sepnt tym and wats their salary and other administrative costs for giving that consultancy. Then there is a general industry fees for each job.. All added together they fix a fees. Lyk how ur audit firm charges ur client.. u r a ca student ryt??

I am not CA student, I am doing Diploma in taxation law & want to become tax consultant some day.
So I was thinking about this question.
Actually you added extra points to my thinking process.
initially i did not think about big office, yes over heads will be there for sure.
I thought like agents, tax consultant also get some percentage of the tax saved.
This was my thinking.
