Is there any possibility of extending the due date for tax audit on account of bank strike, half yearly closing on 30th Sept, Ramzan festival-difficulty in payment of self assessment tax and losing the business during festival season?

Extending Always Happens.. But you Cannot Wait for that.
Better to File it as soon as possible

No chance and donot think of it. We will enjoy Dasara and Deepawali at least this year.

there is no such chance as the same had been done b4 while extending the schedules in bihar n J&k.

Hi satya narayana,
just to inform you that there wont be any change in the filing date. for this year we believe it will not get extended as Mr. Chidambaram said September 30, 2008 will be final. Incase of non-filing a fine of rs. 1 lakh.
So get it filed before the due date or arrange for 1 lakh.

to be extended especiaally for the seemandhra region of state of andhra pradesh wherein because of two months long agitations against separation of state
