Yes friend , statutory auditor can perform both function simultaneously...because :
1. Independence remains unaffected.
2. No any disqualification attracted given as per companies act.
3. No professional misconduct as per CA Act , 1949.
so there is no problem at all...i think u r convince now.

Yes , Statutory auditor can do the same task.
Because, Independence remains unaffected.No professional disqualifaction is attracted under CA Act, 1949.

The statutory auditor can sign the tax audit report but an internal auditor cannot act as a statutory auditor
