I run a sole propritorship firm. I have 2 employees working under me. So, I applied for TAN last month and recieved the TAN.
But I selected 'Firm/Association of persons/Association of persons (Trusts)/Body of Individuals/Artificial Juridical Person', while applying the TAN. And TAN is in my firm name. Not in my name.
Will it create any problem?
Yes. Please kindly return that Number and apply for a new TIN No.

Mine is TAN not TIN.
TAN is not required if my employees salary is not taxable. right?
