I know there is an option of re-writing data.. but dont know how to go about it..

Please search any backup data in your system.
Otherwise, immediately contact Tally person.
They will guide you.

On gateway of tally, hold Contrl+Alt key and press R. Select the company you want to re write and enter.

By the said command (Ctrl+Alt+R), data can be re-written, but be cautious and take a copy/backup of your old data. Because this command will fix the problem and your some data may be deleted.
To see the result of the command go to:
your tally folder and open the tally.rew file in the notepad.
If any voucher is deleted then voucher type and number will be there.

hi vijay if your data still not recoved u can use the 0 value rewrite process then u can get data recover
