i am in receipt of superannuation pwnsion feom LIC.
this is foe service with corporates.
can I get standard deduction on it.?
some people have told me , I cant get since LIC was not my employer .
would reuest for your opu ion please.
also any circular, notification on it ?

Standard deduction is only applicable to salaried individuals and not to pensioners. Therefore, if you are receiving a pension from LIC, you may not be eligible for a standard deduction.
