first be thorough with the module, with ONE reference book... then after ur first revision, go for compilation or SA (compilation s better since its chapter related).. note the ways to answer the question.. get used to dat type of answering.. surely u ll succeed.. Allah b with u....

Hi,

You should either refer Module or a good reference book (like T N Manoharan for Income Tax). Once you are done with the book refer (not read or remember) some suggested answer. If you refer suggested answer then you need not refer Compilations at all. For Costing Theory you can refer Compilation.

This is rahul if u wan2 clear in first attempt then dont go for any reference book. If possible join coaching classes if not then rely on module Use books published by padhukas if you really wan2 go for reference books

i will never suggest books by Padhuka except auditing.
        refer to standard text books.dont go by Padhukas.Padhuaks are over detailed at many places and are not supported b y relevant theory for the Qs.

For Theory of any subject except tax, go for compilations, it is sufficient for theory.

and for Practical my friends have already mentioned a lot of good books.

compilations are best for ca PE 2 ....mainly theory subjects..law, audit, IT......about 90% questions repeat from compilations...

Hi ashwini, I dont think that on this stage when u attempt 3 times you should change ur study material. I mean which books you are reading just go through it again and again. bcoz all the books are prefect.excately we have some problems or lack of understanding so just remove it and use all that books which you are studying till nw.
