hi i have now registered for ipcc and got the study material from the institute...... for all the subjuects. My friends say i must buy seperate reference book for all the subjects..
i feel studying the institute material throughly will help than any other book.... (considering time factor)
Hi Gokul.. for theory papers study material of CA Institute is sufficient..for practical papers like accounts, cost, tax, fm etc you should take some reference books.

hi Gokul
after passing mine pcc last november
i must say studying module is a must for passing exams with good marks
u can see most of the questions whether theory or practicals are from module itself
students do not perfer to study module as they find it's language dificult and go for reference books
but still module study is best for passing the perofessionals exams

Hi Gokulnath
I personally feel that all that matters is knowledge. Its like shadow. You can not catch it. But if you keep going, it'll follow you. I just mean that, you just focus on summing up the topics & try to have good grip over. You should decide whether the material being used is user friendly for you or not, irrespective of the fact that, whether it is compiled for CA exams or not.
This was about having knowledge. Simultaneously while gathering knowledge, you should have touch with past exam questions from Scanner, Compiler or any other reference book.
I can assure you that, if you have written correct answers with proper presentations, you will definitely get marks – good marks. But consider my view that, never try to sum up thing by opting shortest possible way.
First read the institute material and complier and if you face difficulties then onlt go for reference book.
remember for strong foundation better to dig DEEP (by reading one book again and again ) NOT WIDE (by reading too many book unnecessarily )

Always stick to a single authoured book for each Paper to make rivisions during exams and for additional study to have strong base towards concept understanding go for other books. And still you will have come back to identified book for revision.
