Strength and Weakness

Strength and weakness: every body has heard about this. In interview this is one of fixed Q of HR. still we don’t understand this accurately.

If you read a self help book or HR related book then everyone will say “You must need to know your strengths and weaknesses” This is necessary to know your weaknesses. “Count your chicken before they hatch”. But is it true or is it enough? I don’t think so.  It is like making mistake and remember and next time be fearful that you can make that mistake again. But as you know, so you can make that mistake with appropriate way. That’s not a good way.

In my view, the best way is convert your weakness in strength. When a person is not able to balance his social and professional life, then he can say in interview that I am so hard worker that I ignore my family. This is my weakness.  BUT for interviewer this weakness is your strength.

You didn’t do anything. But just with the help of word you convert your greatest weakness in great strength to get a job

Every person has some weakness, but it doesn’t mean this can stop you. When I was child, I was afraid of dark. But then I decided to overcome that, I start walk after dinner on lonely road near a old fort. Once I got a chance to be afraid a lot. But that incident changed me. Now I don’t fear dark.

Lets take one other example.  Some people don’t believe in their work, they always fear to get wrong. To make it their strength they can recheck their work with reference to others work also. In this way, they can check their and others work. This is a good manager quality.

Remember: No one is perfect. Everyone has weakness. So don’t be afraid you are never the only person who has mistake. Learn from others weakness and convert them in your strength
