There are 3 methods to industry analysis: SWOT analysis, Competetive forces model and Broad factors analysis. for competetive analysis, there are a couple of ways you can do it. Though, its a step wise procedure. You need to identify your competetitors, analyse and compare them etc. ADL matrix, space matrix and inflection point anaylsis are common ways to do a competetetive analysis.
