a dealer has been registered on 1st april 2018 as regular dealer.
will he hAve to file any statement for stock as he would pay tax on stock as on the above date.....

No not required. Will have to pay tax on sales made after that date.

He has paid gst on stock as on ist april 18...Will he not claim input gst on stock???
