In this situation of continuously increasing rates and cost , the stipend that students gets in the articleship training is too low. There are many other factors that shows the need to increase the amount of stipend. There are many students who stays too far from their residence to office. For them the stipend amount dont even cover their petrol cost. Petrol cost is continuously increasing every two months.The amount of stipend is too less that many students in order to fulfill the needs of their family members, earn somewhere else and skips article training and even discontinue their CA course.
Rs. 1000 for first year, Rs. 1250 for second year, Rs. 1500 for third year really dont give motivation to do articleship happily. The amount of stipend should be of such an amount that covers expenses and that saves some amount with articled clerk also. After all the work that we do while traing, deserves to gain more stipend.
