It can be set off against other short term gains and if still it remains, then it can be further set off against long terms capital gains... If any loss still exists, then the same can be carried forward to next Assessment year

Mr. Sourabh,
First ensure that, is there any STT charged on selling of EMF. If so, then you can not either set off with LTCG or carried forward to next year.
Secondly if there is no STT then you can either set off with any LTCG or carried forward loss to next year.

Dear Sandeep, can you please provide the relevant section which states "that if STT is charegable on sale and the resulting capital loss if Short term capital loss on MF, then it cannot be set off against LTCG."
