I got an intimation from IT dept u/s 143(1) for payment of balance tax. As per there calculations they have not considered deductions from income like 80C + interest on housing loan.
I filed a rectification u/s 156 (as mentioned in the letter), is there any way to track the status on the case?

As per me there is no any option that u can track ur application status.

If ITO is ok with the rectification, do they send confirmation on that? Even other way, if they are not satisfied with the calculation do they send reply?
In general what is the process Income Tax office follows?

Hi Frnd,
Recently i heard about something happening to track the status of document submitted in I.T. Department for that they will provide some no. which can track the status of the particular document do someone hear about it.
