how can i ensure the status of the assessee other than 4th letter of pan card ?
e.g.
my pan is ABCIJ1234G
THEN my stattus as 4th letter indicates "I"
i m individual
how can i proove other than this?????????

The fourth alphabet of the PAN is always "P" on case of individuals. The fifth alphabet in case of PAN of individuals is always the Last Name of the PAN holder.
