My ARN was generated but now while checking my status it's showing " pending for clarification" but when clicking on it. it is showing document not found, or error 404...
what to do in this case?
how would I know what clarification does tax official is needed?

Do it within 7 days of the receipt of the SCN otherwise the ARN would lapse.

by the way, I just spoken to GST helpline and they are telling that, I have to wait for more seven working days due to verification process...

My mistake not SCN but a Notice issued by the proper officer to the applicant where the application is found to be defective either in terms of information or documents provided.

but the document is not opening and GST helpline executive has asked me to wait for seven working days due to verification process. so should I have to wait?

You will have to reply within time stipulated in the notice. Otherwise your application me be cancelled. Also in the notice name and designation of the Officer who issued notice is written. You contact him. Helpdesk person will help you. You once contact him or you may mail to department.
