Can standard deduction of RS 40000 can be claimed in ay 2019 -20 and is there any salary limit to claim such exemption

No restriction for standard deduction over salary, or its limit. Standard deduction capped at salary received or rs.40,000/-; whichever more.
No u can claim standard deduction....it is not depends upon ur salary limit😊
